Frequently Asked Questions
Q. What is RockCorps?
A. RockCorps encourages volunteering through the power of music. The RockCorps gig programme inspires people to volunteer within their local community by producing concerts for which you can’t buy a ticket. Rather, you must do 4 hours of volunteer work at a RockCorps volunteer project to earn a ticket to the gig. All volunteer projects are completed in partnership and for the benefit of local charity partners.
Q. Which artists perform at the gigs?
A. Lady Gaga, Diddy, Primal Scream, Professor Green, Akon, Tinie Tempah, N Dubz, Vampire Weekend, Kelis and Eliza Doolittle have all performed at our UK gigs. RockCorps will announce any artists who will be performing at a RockCorps show throughout the programme, stay tuned to the website and newsletter updates for the latest information.
Q. I have a disability. Can I still get involved?
A. Thorough risk assessments are taken prior to every project, to ensure the safety of all on site. All projects are staffed with at least one member of project staff trained in first aid.
Q. Can I nominate a charity organisation?
A. Absolutely, RockCorps welcomes all volunteering efforts. If you would like to nominate a charity partner for RockCorps, please get in touch at email@example.com
Q. How can I stay involved with a charity organisation after the RockCorps project? Can I continue to volunteer after the project?
A. If you would like to stay involved with a charity organisation after your RockCorps project, simply tick the box on your waiver which states you are happy to be contacted by the charity you have worked with. You can find contact details of all of our charity partners by contacting us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
